Good morning, my husband will have his results today from a bone and CT scan that he had a few weeks ago. The PSA has reduced quite significantly, which is great so I’m hoping that means good news on the scans, just keeping everything crossedFingers crossed tone1Fingers crossed tone1

  • Hello Tulips, I’m sure everyone posting here has everything crossed for you and your husband, too. The waiting for results is horrible! Let us know how you get on?

  • Hope all goes well with your husband's results

  • Agree with all the above - best of luck with the results and all goes well in the future.

    Kind Regards

    Brian.

  • Hi Tulips, everything crossed for you and thinking of you.  I’m in same boat, got some results but still waiting on biopsy results.  I know how nerve wracking it is, I hope you both get good news.

    Linda

  • Thank you and hope you don’t have to wait too long

  • Have been thinking of you both all day, Tulips and hoping for the very best possible result.

  • Good news today, which is a huge relief!

    Bone Scan
Summary is an excellent partial response.
No new activity and response to treatment is better than expected.

    CT Scan
Summary is a substantial prostate mass remains.
However, the mass and tumour nodules have reduced dramatically.

    Next steps
PSA blood test and review with Consultant every 8 weeks. No more scans until the PSA changes.

He will still have the monthly hormone injection and taking Enzalutimide until the effectiveness stops.

He can relax a little now and try and enjoy his Birthday tomorrow.

On Thursday our eldest is doing a Brave the Shave, so proud of him.

    Thank you everyone x

  • Yes!! Time to celebrate - it's great when someone has good news to share - it makes it all worthwhile.

I hope the Birthday goes well tomorrow and well done to your son - it takes courage to do these things and we all forget, it's our illness but the impact on our families ripples out - and sometime we forget as we have so much to concentrate on ourselves.

Great news again!   Thanks for keeping us all in the loop. We are all here for you both.

    Best wishes

    Brian.
