  • Hello Skye It’s a lot to deal with even when you have known some details for a while. I hope that your family will surround you with love and give you all the support you need to help you through this.

    Sending hugs and positive thoughts

  • Taking the step to tell family tomorrow all so real now but keeping positive thank you hope you all doing well xx

  • Hello Skye,

I’m so sorry you are going through this and it’s hard but you are definitely not alone. My husband was stage 4 at diagnosis Sept 21 and has been in Prostap injections with Abiraterone since then. his PSA was 44 and is now 0.1 Gleason 7 4+3 like you.

our treatment options didn’t include radiotherapy or surgery or chemo but this combination is working wonders. He is 72 so chemo would be tough. This group has plenty people with advance and locally advanced like you who have proven that there are so many treatments for PC and that the vast majority live many years even with advanced PC. It’s one of the cancers with so many treatments and I’m not saying it’s easy but once the initial shock wears off and you get down to the business of active treatment and see that PSA drop it’s the best feeling in the world!

Where you are right now will pass and unfortunately we all go through it but thats just it you are not staying here you are moving through it with every day that passes.you are closer to your goal. You will probably feel a weight off your shoulders when you tell your family.

sending you much love and best wishes,

    Louli

  • Hello Skye, I hope all goes well with breaking the news to your family today.  They will no doubt have a lot of questions! But, hopefully you now won’t be facing this alone and they will overwhelm you with love, concern and support!
