I have had CT scan which I'm told indicated no lymph node issues but a definite sign that there could be (C) in my prostate.
I had 13 biopsies taken last weekend and I'm due to have a Nuclear Medicine Bone Scan early next week.
I have been given a date late November to get all my results which is worryingly a long way off.
I am 74 years of age, my PSA result back in August was 39.
What I am increasingly concerned about is a dull ache that I now experience in my groin. It comes in waves and it's not severe pain just a dull ache.
I have read that this can happen if the cancer is spreading to the bone.
Has anyone got any experience in my current condition, I'm wondering whether I should call my doctor before my bone scan to see what he says.
Thanks for a great forum,
Baler
Thanks for your response Sussex20.
I'm not now sure calling my GP before we know the full picture will serve any purpose.
As I've said previously on this forum, it's the waiting for news and appointments that add to one's anxiety.
Of course lots of us are having to play the waiting game, but it's just concerning that all this waiting time gives the cancer more time to do it's nasty work before a treatment can even start!
All the best to you in your journey and thanks again.

Hi I have been diagnose with localised prostate cancer Had MRI scan Biopsy and a bone scan. Thankfully its confined to the prostate. I have the same as you a dull ache in the groin. Like you it comes in waves. I'm still waiting on an appointment with the Oncologist, have an appointment with a Surgeon next month. I did phone and told the specialist nurse about the ache. The nurse assured me it had not spread even though I have this ache.
Hi David193,
Thanks for your reply.
Groin pains started some time ago, well before my biopsies were taken.
I had thought they were due to the epididymal cyst that I was diagnosed with several years ago but perhaps they've been due to my current condition.
