Hi I am 65 years old from Ni.Ireland I had a prostate biopsy done on 23rd March 2022. I was supposed to get my results on the 13 th May.. This appointment was then cancelled until the 8th June . I actually know my results through my local GP. Results came back positive for Cancer..I don't know how severe it is ,but can I assume it's not too bad as my appointment has been delayed for another 4 weeks . I would appreciate if anyone can help. Thank you .

The Bicalutamide is given to stop tumour flare for when you go on the HT proper. Not sure about the other. I had no obvious side effects with the Bicalutamide but was only on it for a while so maybe they didn't have time to develop.

Hi Petsin, Glad to hear you have commenced on your treatment. It never a decision taken lightly but good to know prognosis is good. We are all thinking of you as go through the next stage of this journey.

Pete, be well. I haven't yet discussed hormonal treatment, but am meeting the doctor tomorrow and we shall see what he says. Please, take care.
