I have now been waiting 3 months for surgery since first diagnosed is this normal?
I had gleeson 3/4 and psa 21.5

I think waiting is quite normal at the moment because of the backlogs, do u have a date?
Your stats don't seem too high , as long as tumour is confined to the gland, which it probably is, then a few more weeks should be ok

Thx steve , just concerned that tumour may break seal and spread
If you can get hold of a copy of the MRI report it should give you the size and location within the gland
It is 3cm
does this determine when surgery is ?

Obviously if it was near the border then it should be sorted as priority.

3cm is a reasonable size. Have u been on to the specialist to try and get a date off them.
In the mean time try and find out the proximity of the tumour ie is it near the capsule edge.
