Hi I am constantly exploring new treatments and weighing up the pros and cons ( apart from obvious expense!).
You are all so brilliant offering advice, your experiences and opinions, I really do thank you all.
Has anyone had elektra unity radiotherapy?
Anyone know much about it please? Thank you for your time.

I’ve had a read about this and it involves MRI real time scanning while doing radiotherapy. The idea is that it adapts to internal body movements to make the radiotherapy more accurately delivered than ever before. There is a trial called PRISM looking into this. They hope to reduce the radiotherapy treatment days by ultra hypofractionation reducing treatment to possibly 5 days instead of 20 or 30 plus in some instances. Hope this helps. I would have jumped at the chance to have this for my salvage radiotherapy but I don’t think these Elekta machines are widely available in the UK yet. Best wishes.

We have been told it isn't possible at the Rutherford medical Centre but are still enquiring of The Christie and Royal Marsden. Not sure if it will be possible as husband need radiotherapy to lymph nodes too.
Saddened that it sounds amazing but may not be doable
All the best to you and thanks for your support.
