Hi all,
I'm back on Bicalutamide after a slightly rising PSA, been on them for about 3 months, the only problem I have is the breast enlargement issue, getting a good pair of moobs, which can be a little sore at times. I remember this happening when I first under went treatment (about 3 years ago), however they are a bit worse now.
If anyone has any suggestions or undergone any treatment it would be nice to hear from you. Any helpful suggestions on how to improve this (no comments about lacy bras)
Many thanks
Kind regards
Mark
Try Evening Primrose Oil and Sage Leaf capsules. I had Gynecomastia about 12 years ago (long before going on to hormone treatment) and attended the breast clinic wher that was the recommended treatment. They are also great for hot flushes from HT. I buy in bulk from Holland & Barret when they have a "Buy 1 get 1 for a penny" offer!
Hi Wezpop
I had exactly the same problem with swollen breasts but the pain on my left side was very uncomfortable. I mentioned this to my specialist on a couple of occasions and he referred me to the radiotherapy unit where I had one course of treatment on both sides. This was pain free!
Eventually the pain disappeared but I'm not sure if it was due to this treatment. I have no pain at all nowadays but still have the swollen breasts but these have reduced in size. I'm sure that some weight lifting to improve one's upper body strength would be a good idea but fatigue puts me off the idea of any form of exercise apart from walking!
Good luck.
