Hi. Just starting the process of diagnosis. Only had blood tests so far. Go referred me to specialist, now awaiting an appointment. Waiting to find out what exactly it is and what their going to do is really hard. What experiences did other people have please????
Hi Sam69 welcome to the forum. The diagnosis could yet be somethign which is perfectly treatable. I have a pituitary microadenoma which I have had for the last 30 odd years.
I was diagnosed when I couldn't get pregnant for the second time and that's when they discovered that my prolactin levels were sky high. I had an MRI scan and then saw the Consultant and was put on Bromocriptine which I took for years and also saw the Opthalmology department for field vision tests for years as well. I went on to have my second child who is now 34 years of age.
I dont take tablets anymore not go for field vision tests and I have kept well with no issues.
If I can be of nay further support I will try to answer any queries that I can. I saw an Endocrinologist Consultant just in case thats what comes on your appointment letter and you wonder what that is.
Best Wishes for now
