Hi

i am 63 and I was diagnosed with descending colorectal cancer October 2024, with a 2cm GIST evident near stomach, nothing to worry about apparently, however having undergone a right hemicolectomy in March this year I then had a biopsy for this GIST and and it showed peritoneal lesion on stomach metastatic CRC Weary

I have been referred to Christie’s hospital Manchester to the peritoneal team, eternally grateful that they are doing this cytoreduction and HIPEC surgery. This surgery is tomorrow 6th October, terrified but realise I am lucky for this chance , I heard someone say recently that you cannot buy time or memories but this team of amazing humans are buying me time and memories Relaxed️Pray tone1

will let you know how I get on Fingers crossed tone1Pray tone1

  • Hello

I am Brian one of the Community Champions here on the online Community. I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered. I have a different cancer so can't comment on your post however by me replying it will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and replied to by other members of the Peritoneal group.

I have noticed you are having surgery on 6 October and as that was yesterday I trust it went well and you are in the recovery stage. I am under Christie's myself for Prostate cancer and your statement

but this team of amazing humans are buying me time and memories

is 110% correct -they are amazing.

    Best wishes - Brian.
