I was diagnosed with primaryt peritoneal cancer in 2023, and had chemotherapy which seemed to work. I also had a total hysterectomy and debulking. The cancer came back at th end of 2024 and I had a second lot of chemotherapy, which ended in March this year.

It wasn't many weeks before the fluid built up again in my abdomen and I eventually had to have it drained.

I have now ben told that I am terminal and nothing can be done. I have months to live. Very daunting.

Is there anyone else in the same situation please?

  • Hi Lollipop

    Welcome to the group.

I am sorry to hear that your peritoneal cancer has returned after treatment. I also had a hysterectomy and chemotherapy in 2022. (My cancer originated in my womb lining) so I can appreciate that it has not been an easy time.

We do have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm everyday if it would help to talk to someone about it.

We do have a forum on here for people who have been given an incurable diagnosis and I wonder if it is worth you having a look. It may help to share with others who are going through similar things.

  • I was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer in 2023 and secondary lung cancer. I have various chemo sessions and now my only option is to leave it alone or trial a new drug. Its not likely to disappear but may keep the cancer at bay. Do ask your oncologist just in case. I wont have years and years left but grateful for the 2 1/2 ive had so far
