Sentinel Node Biopsy

Hi Jem welcome to the forum. Im surprised that they didnt take the sentinel node during surgery as this is usually the way that they do with Lumpectomies.

Have they said why they want to do this?

I think it was discussed but original biopsy and ultrasound needle aspiration biopsy suggested an approach that reduced side effect risk. But my recollection may be off. However after a couple of follow ups with the consultant I think they have a better view of the grading being a little different to the original biopsy. But it was a surprise.
