Finding it very hard emotionally.. this journey has been grim very quick.. so my ex started to get sick after he moved back in as temporary having a spare bedroom.. started to lose weight.. thirsty..tired.. told him to go doctors.. found out he has diabetes.. this was March.. he then started having intense painful cramps especially after eating.. kept going back to GP practice ..oh another symptom was severe constipation.., the diabetes nurse kept telling him to drink water take the laxatives ect… going every 2 weeks consistently losing weight still in severe pain.., no answers… June he ended up in A&E with severely impacted bowel… they kept him in hospital for 2 weeks did a CT scan and endoscopy.., still in pain still losing weight… came out then had a colonoscopy… by now it was end of July… no news except from GP to say colonoscopy and endoscopy clear… I took him in person and just burst into tears… is that it then? No answers? He’s still in severe pain can no longer work has lost more weight… the zGP blamed the hospital.. I said you must help him.. she sent us to Ambulatory care at the hospital.. more blood tests where his pancreatic markers high… then the doctor there requested the CT scan from June 6 .. which they said was clear… yes it wasn’t there was a tumour on the pancreas that had been missed by the radiologist…. Then followed zPET scan … and biopsy at Guys .. another month passes… then told it’s inoperable…12 months .. then 2 weeks later 6-12 months .., then another 2 weeks ago it’s 2-6 months.., then this week hospice doctor says it’s 2 weeks maybe a month..,,,,,, can anyone believe this??? He is devastated I am an emotional wreck…, can’t process it … I just can’t believe it.. sorry it’s a long post … I’m a drained wreck… I’m scared sick to my stomach and I know he wants to come out to his room at mine but I’m scared .. can someone help give me the strength to deal with this…
