Hello I am 53 and I was diagnosed with serous Ovaian cancer stage 1C1 in October' I had completion surgery in November. Started chemo in January had an allergic reaction to Paclotaxil so I'm only having Carboplatin. Had my 2nd round. Coping well physically with the treatment (put a bit of weight on).. I am struggling emotionally, Would love to hear from someone with similar experience xx
Good on you stay positive. I think you will be fine on Friday xxx
Hi unimum. I hope you are ok. I had my chemo Friday with just carboplatin and I finished the session. Took 8 1/2 hours cos it was given very slowly working up to last big bag with stronger drug in i But the times not important. I've got no side effects today. Is that usual. Don't feel like I've had chemo at all. I'm worried it's not working now. But I'm sure it must be doing something. Am I just being silly. I was expecting to at least ache.
Oh that is such good news I am so pleased for you. I don't really get side effects until after I have finished the steroids. I had my carbo on Monday steroids until Thursday. I have felt a bit nauseous and tired for the last couple of days. This is my 3rd lot and I hopefully should feel better by Monday or Tuesday. I'm sure it is working and the steroids are doing their job too. Take care xx
