Hi Laura, just wanted to pop in and say good luck for tomorrow :)
Thank you Julia, Hi Lynn:) Aww, thank you both :)
Hi Laura, just back from Docs, so far so good although they couldn't find my right ovary!!! She said everything looks ok but she examined me again and found a lump in the bowel area so I'm being referred to a colonolagist (I think). Oh, I just want this to be over, to be honest, if I have to have cancer at all, I'd rather have ovarian cancer than bowel cancer. I had a feeling they were looking in the wrong area but you trust the professionals, anyway, I'm breaking my own rule now, don't count your chickens before they're hatched!!! Let me know how your results go Laura, got my fingers and toes crossed for you X
Hi Bobbie, like you said so far so good. unfortunately even more waiting for you though. I am getting really nervous about my scan tomorrow but trying to think positively about things.
I have been on a knife edge since my positive pregnancy test back at the beginning of January and dont know how much more uncertainty I can take.Still quite angry as I think if the early pregnancy unit would have scanned me I wouldnt have had to wait for 8 weeks. Like us allI suppose I just want someone to tell me what is or isnt happening inside my own body.
Fingers crossed for Laura and let us know how you get with the referral Bobbie xxx
Morning Laura, so good news and bad news! We both went for ovarian cancer tests and both of us have come away for something entirely different!!! Ha ha, not sure which forum we should be in now!! I had an MRI and an internal ultrasound, because they couldn't find my right ovary the doctor did another examination and found a lump in the bowel area (she hadn't examined that part before) and referred me to a colonologist in the oncology department so now it's a case of waiting for the appointment, so here we go again, you waiting for the urologist and me waiting to see the colonologist, ha ha, why does everything end in 'gist'!!!! She did say though, the appointment will come through very quickly so not to go anywhere for the next couple of weeks, also, from reading posts here, if they suspect cancer we'll be seen within the next couple of weeks. It's very worrying you have a cyst the size of a golf ball though, but as I always say, don't count your chickens before they're hatched, it may will be a benign cyst. How are you feeling in yourself Laura? Do you feel well or poorly? Personally, I feel poorly, my legs hurt and I can't walk very far, I've gone from doing a power walk every day with my dog for 30 minutes to not being able to walk across the room without pain. It's got worse very quickly, I'm also so tired, I was in bed by 9 last night and when the alarm went off this morning, I had to drag myself out of bed. I also have a raging thirst which doesn't help because there doesn't seem room to accommodate all the water! I'm not one to go to the doctor often and I've put this off for such a long time hoping it was either just my age or a virus, in the end, I gave in. I'm swallowing Gaviscon by the bucket load to, can't even enjoy a glass of wine because it hurts like hell! Right enough of me, me, me. Let me know when you get your results won't you, I thought of you last night and sending lots of positive vibes your way Xx
