Diagnosed with 4a ovarian cancer in Feb 2022. Had 6 cycles of chemo and radical hysterectomy and in Oct 22 declared NED! During this time I put on 8 Ib in weight so returned to slimming world Nov 22 which I was following pre diagnosis! Started on maintenance programme of Lynparza/olaparib (600mg) daily along with Bevacicumab infusion every 3 wks. Since starting the maintenance programme I've put on another 7 Ib.....despite following SW plan!!! Anyone else having this problem - any advice appreciated???
This seems like a late reply to this discussion, but I wanted to pitch in. I’m 55 years old. I was diagnosed 3c HGSOC in October 2023 and went thru debulking and chemo. Declared NED in April 2024. Unfortunately Niraparib didn’t work for me and they found a recurrence in November 2024. I’ve been on carbo and Caelyx since then and am about to have my final dose. I was on steroids for a while to deal with a bad rash caused by the Caelyx and at least half a stone appeared out of nowhere. It’s really getting me down and I can’t wait to finish chemo so that I can get back on the wagon of healthy food and exercise. Currently I just want to snack and have no energy to do more than a bit of a walk outside, which is to be expected.
