Hi ,
I am about to start chemo again , 3rd time .
I will be having taxol every week for 9 weeks, I’m going to try the cold cap again . I have been advised to try it as it’s taken me 2 years to grow my back to its original style, and I’m gutted at the thought of loosing it all again.
My oncologist said because it’s a smaller dose each week I may keep some of my hair. Any advice please x
Good for you Deblorraine…..I know the hospital teams are very busy, but sometimes they do just need a reminder that this is all about us, the patients, and although some might think taking pride in our hair and wanting to keep it is vain, if we can look in the mirror every morning and see someone we recognise is us and can be happy with then that extra hour added to the treatment is worthwhile.
Sending big hugs, and hoping the cap works out for you.
Love Bxx
Thank you , they did try to put me off , but I’m determined to try. I’ve lost my hair before and to be honest it wasn’t too bad , but it’s worth a try .x
