Hello, My mum had a recent scan and showed a new pel ic deposit posterior to bladder. Doctor suggested radiotherapy.

Mum had radiptherapy few months back for her pancreatic metastatic ovarian cancer.

She is very weak after 6.months of chemo and now not eating much either. She had few fluid pockets around liver but not big enough requiring drainage. It s all very depressing and stressful to see.

  • Hi Losh

I am sorry to hear that Mum's recent scan showed a new pelvic deposit behind her bladder.

I do understand that it must have been difficult to watch Mum go through her chemotherapy and radiotherapy. My own cancer was endometrial but it is often treated in a similar way. I had surgery followed by chemotherapy and then radiotherapy. I also felt quite weak and washed out for some time after the treatment ended.

I know that for my family and friends, at times it was difficult for them to see.

Do you have support around you? Family, friends? I hope that your Mum's team are offering support to you both.

Why not give the Support Line a call and talk things through with one of the nurses. They can answer any medical questions you may have regarding mum's treatment but also will be able to offer emotional support to you. The Support Line is there from 8am-8pm daily and they are lovely on there.

    Jane
