I never expected it to go up again so soon, I've been 'lucky' my marker has often been around 34 something, it shot up and then finished chemo (2nd time round from 3 years ago) and marker was 68 in April, I've been getting pain in my right rib now my sternum, hurts to breathe cough laugh now pain gone to left rib, call oncologist had a blood test marker suddenly gone to 127 so now they're calling for CT scan.. :( how can it go up again so soon, i've been doing so well and keeping so positive and having so many holistic therapies also which I know has helped during chemo as the side effects weren't as severe this time when identical the first time ....
Hi Melnie , really feel for you , I am dreading my next scan in about five weeks , my abdomen is permanently sore, tender and heavy , but at least I dont yet need painkillers for it . I suffer a bit with dyspepsia . I do have deposits on my tummy and small bowel and thickening on my omentum . Will be hoping you do get some good news next time xx
thank you, you too drives you mad doesn't it but I generally stay positive despite everything just sometimes I have a wobble...
I agree Melanie and I am a very positive person , we have to be but I too have wobbles and that is only natural with what we are going through . It’s just coming up to two years nov/ dec when I discovered that I had this nightmare of a disease . Keep well and I wish you good control !
