Hello everyone,
I had my CT scan result on Thursday, and thankfully it showed a good result following six rounds of chemo for first recurrence.
So I will be going onto the parp inhibitor Rucaparib on the 1st December, which hopefully will hold the cancer back (fingers crossed).
I hope that you are all as well as possible during these continuing difficult times.
Georgette
Hi Mint,
Thanks for your reply, Regarding starting the rucaparib I have to say that I am worried, reading the possible side effects, but have been told by the Oncologist that if they affect my quality of life to much then I will be taken off of them. I am willing to give them a go to see if they work for me,otherwise I will be wondering what if !!!
These things are always difficult, especially when at the moment I feel really quite well. However the good thing is that I will be monitored very closely and I can if necessary get in touch with the team.
Georgette / P.S. I will let you know how things go..
