Hi. Has anyone with stage 1 clear cell had conversations about chemo after hysterectomy?
Hi Clem16
I was a stage 1 high grade endometrial cancer- I had chemo and external radiotherapy.
As clear cell is normally seen as a higher grade cancer then I would expect it to follow a similar treatment plan in that further treatment may be needed.
For higher grade cancers follow up treatment is normally offered at an earlier stage. Treatment however is individual and can depend on other factors such as lymphatic/vascular invasion.
Please do give the Support Line a call and talk to one of the nurses if that would help.

Hi Clem16
Would your friend consider taking at look at the ovarian cancer charity site ovacome.org.uk ?
It is a good source of help and information, and email support if your friend doesn’t want to speak on the phone?

Hi Clem16, I recognised you from the womb group so guessed as much. I am sorry to hear about your friend. Maybe she would prefer to talk to her own CNS or there may be a Macmillan advice centre at her own hospital. Mine had one in the waiting room.
For me I did not know I would need adjuvant chemo until post op results so it was not discussed before hand, other than the consultant saying it wouldn’t be necessary.
