Hi any on these chemo, how did it work for you, was it easier to do than carbo/taxol

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I haven't had this treatment, so can't help with any experiences, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussions list where it might be more easily seen.

I typed 'carbo/caylex' into the group's search bar but this only found a couple of previous posts mentioning this combination and they were very old. You could do the same though and perhaps also try 'caylex/carbo' which I didn't.

Wishing you all the best with this treatment

Lovely caption that, "Never regret a day in your life, good days give you happiness, bad days give you experience"

  • Thanks . I have to confess that I didn't come up with it but I read it a few years ago and decided that's how I should try to live my life.

I don't mind if you want to use it too.

Hi Tricia, I'm on my third out of 6 of carbo/caylex cycles after avastin didn't work.

My experience is you have a horrible first week, like bad flu and after that not too bad.

I got bad mouth ulcers in the first two cycles but they lowered the dose for the third cycle and that solved that problem.

And at least you don't seem to get neuropathy which I got quite badly with carbo/taxol.

    Hope this helps

  • Hi dodie34, thanks for replying, my 3rd chemo in few weeks so will see how my ca125 is behaving, plenty of stomach pain with this chemo, carbo/taxol didn't have much pain but didn't have much hair either lol, hair fine this time
