Had my first chemo session on Friday. Felt ok yesterday, but feel aching/ tingling in groin. Worried about taking paracetamol or ibuprofen
Hi Ann
It's now over two weeks since my first chemo session and like you l had aching and tingling in my groin and legs during the first week.
So l recall a discussion regarding these side effects in one of the groups l belong to. I'm in the womb cancer and chemotherapy groups. l thought l would find the discussion and refer you to it. l'm a bit clumsy with l.T and there's probably an easier way to do it. but l have typed joint pain into the search bar and was taken straight to it.
The discussion will answer your questions, good luck with your treatment. l have session number two on wednesday so l'll be out of action over the weekend, not that l was going to go to the pub anyway!
All the best
Thank you for your reply. I too am not great on these forums on IT. Should be getting a call from the oncology unit today to see how I've been over the weekend. I'll ask about taking painkillers. The rotten taste in the mouth is just awful. Hope you get the support you need to get through this.

Hi.the aches and pains are normal for the for few days and take paracetemol is you need to, but take your temperture first, to make sure its normal. As the chemo progresses the side effects become less. or they did in my case. Jan. x.
