Hi all it's been a while...Grin

I was hoping that my cancer journey had ended and I was ready for the next chapter, but here I am back again!

I had two follow up pet scans as I felt something was wrong. Originally it was for where I had the cancer before, in my groin. But something else showed up in my abdomen and one of the valves going from my heart on the left side was showing signs of stenosis...

The two scans later the mass was totally growing...so I was then sent for the scan where you get to drink a god awful liquid and a radioactive isotope injected into you for the organs to light up. Seems it's like a sugar that attaches and light up any cancerous tissue.

I got the call the other day...seems I have Lymphoma attached to my spleen and also my thyroid. I'll be going back to the hospital to get a biopsy to find out what stage they both are...

I'm not happy about as I thought I was starting to get things together, but I guess I have to put things on a back burner til this is sorted..

I learned from the last bout that if your gut tells you something is wrong, fight to get something doneHeart

My regards to all

TK

  • Sorry to hear the his  ……. looking back it’s FL you have…… relapse unfortunately is part of life with Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Based on my now 25 years experience with my type of low-grade T-Cell as well as my aggressive T-Cell there are treatment out there to do the job……. It’s frustrating but it is what it is so let’s look for a plan to be put together and for a lid to be put on this once again.

  • Hi Mike...nice to hear from you again..

For me this is a good place to vent quietly as screaming at the top of my lungs would annoy the neighbours..Grin

I knew it might come back, but didn't expect a double whammy...

The plus side at least I'm losing weight!
