I have no hair left just a few sprigs now ! My scalp it's been sore it looks like I have what babies have called cradle cap ! I do have a special shampoo and conditioner it's helping ,but I wondered if anybody else used something I can put on it please .
Hi again Manuka sorry to hear about your scalp problems…..
I shaved all my hair off immediately once it started to fall out….. and as I had no hair I did not need to use shampoo…… so it was easy and very straightforward to just keep my skin moisturised…… I will say that the less I drank during treatment the more my skin in general would dry out….. I was often reminded to aim for a minimum of 2 litres of water each and every day.
Sorry to hear of this. You might ask about a steroid cream, if that would be applicable. It would reduce the inflammation. Some folks use a refrigerated "cold cap" to reduce blood (i.e.chemo) flow to the scalp.
Hi po18guy I hope you are doing well.
I am not sure what the recommendations are about the use of ‘cold cap’ when treating Lymphoma is in the USA…… but in the UK ‘cold cap’ is not recommended.
Thank you for that. I never used such a cap, as my scalp was about the only spot left at peace. No hair, though.
