Anyone familiar with gastric malt lymphoma
Hi Missie63 and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us.
I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups. I don’t have MALT lymphoma (gastric and non-gastric) but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with another type of Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma although my type is very rare and like most Low Grade NHLs is incurable….. eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
I see from your profile your first line treatment was radiotherapy, how did you get on with it?……I have had a total of 45 sessions of radiotherapy as part of my main 2 years treatment and I did ok with this.
Living with a Low Grade NHL is a mind set but I have to say I did get into a rhythm of getting on with life….. I am now over 7 years out from my last treatment and getting in great…. the link to my story is at the bottom.
There have been a few group members with MALT so let’s see them pick up on your post. You could do a word/subject search using the site search tool near the top to see all the posts and as always you can hit reply to any post and see if the member is still using the site.
Always around to chat. answer questions and help out ((hugs))
