Hello

I have been recently diagnosed with Waldenstoms Macroglobulineamia and i have been offered the choice of standard treatment (DRC) or to be part of a trial where I may be treated with DRC or RI

Has anyone got any experiences of the trial or standard treatment they could share to help me make the decision please

Thank you

  • Hi  and welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.

I don’t have WM but was diagnosed in 1999 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Skin NHL (CTCL) Stage 4a so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I know this journey rather well.

There are a small amount of folks with WM posted on the group side let’s see if they are looking in.

You could put Waldenstoms Macroglobulineamia into the search Mag tool near the top and have look through the older posts and as always hit reply and see if the folks are looking in.

I will always highlight the Lymphoma Action website. Lymphoma Action is a small but very active UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of good reliable information, videos.

They run regular Regional Lymphoma Online Support Groups and a great Lymphoma Action Buddy Service where people can be linked up with someone who has walked the exact same treatment journey as you.

Happy to chat more at any time.
