Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here. I hope we can all be friends. I had Papillary Thyroid Cancer last year, January 2019. I've undergone surgery and RAI for my treatment. I thought everything will be ok, but few months later, July, there was a swelling on my upper right chest. Lots of tests were done to know what it was. It was devastating to know that I have another kind of cancer. This time, it is Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. My family and friends are always by my side. They give me strength to fight through. I'm undergoing chemotherapy for 7 months already. And for another time, I'm hoping again, hoping that everything will be okay. Don't give up.
Hi again and good you found your way over to our little corner of the Mac Community.
As I said before it is not that unusual for two cancers and I was talking with someone who is now on their third cancer....... to develop. A good consultant friend once said that the first cancer treatment used can often open the doors for dormant cancer cells to develop and form in whatever way they want.
Due to my many years of skin treatments I know that I will most likely develop skin cancer but we take all the precautions we can and so far so good.
The majority of NHLs are very treatable, yes the journey can be long and hard but on the whole do-able with very good results.
It would be good to know what type of chemo you are getting.
