I had liver resection surgery in October to remove what were thought to be bowel cancer metastases. But it turns out they were neuroendocrine metastases! The primary tumour has been identified in my Small bowel. It is well defined and slow growing G1. I am awaiting decisions about my treatment.
The gallium PET scan also raised a concern about a spot in my head to I am also awaiting an MRI to explore whether I have a meningioma!
it’s good to be able to share in these forums!
Hi Sax being able to share with others who are dealing with this awful disease really is very helpful and is what got me through my treatment. I hope the results of your MRI are good and that you have your treatment plan in place.
Hope you enjoy the Christmas holidays.
Hi, this cancer is very sneaky as you've discovered. I had a CT scan with dye at the start of December and I've had a gut profile blood test. I've had symptoms for a while now (18 months ago had primary and 8cm of intestine, plus 6 metastases on my liver removed). Part of me wants there to be something so we can do something and thereby reduce my symptoms. Then the sensible part of me wants to be clear. Very odd how your entire mindset varies.
Hope you've had a peaceful Christmas. Your results will come, the wait isn't easy. I'm trying to keep busy xxx
