Was diagnosed with a NET in the small intestine middle of May by pure chance. Have had various scans over the weeks. They also found 2 pensions in my liver and a module on my lung which are not related. Going into hospital on 23rd August for a right unsuspecting and removal of Lymph Nodes.

  • Hi and welcome to the Online Community. I'm sorry to read of your diagnosis but it's good to read it was diagnosed in its early stages by chance.

I'm not from the group and am not familiar with NET terminology but I rather suspect you've written this post on a phone as I can't make sense of you having surgery for a "right unsuspecting" together with removal of Lymph Nodes. I also think it should also be lesions in you liver - golly  - predictive text does get it wrong! LOL. Sorry, it's not a laughing matter but we do often tend to develop a dark sense of humour on these forums so I hope I don't offend.

It’s always helpful to others if you write a little something (or a lot) about yourself and your journey to date. You can enter it into your profile (click on your username and select “Profile”) It’s helpful to other members with a similar diagnosis who can then hopefully answer your questions. It also means that you don't have to keep writing the same thing over and over. You can amend or update it at any time.

To find more information covering diagnosis and treatments there are pages covering most types of cancers which can be found on our Online Information and Support Section
