Hi there
I have been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumours on my liver. One big tumour, one little one. I have had 5 sessions of chemotherapy but I think it is going to stop as the tumours are not shrinking and it doesn’t seem to be doing any good.
Do any community members have a similar experience?
Kind regards
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm very sorry to read that you've been diagnosed with NETs on your liver. As I had a different type of cancer I don't have any experience with NETs to share with you but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
If you type 'liver' into the search facility in this group, it will narrow down previous posts to just those that mention NETs in liver. You could have a look through those and respond to any of the more recent ones if you think the poster can help further.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi Glasgow Bloke
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I have liver mets but mine is also spread just about everywhere else. I found it hard to find support as this is a rare cancer and this site doesn’t seem to be used much. [edited by admin]
You said your chemo has may stop, what alternative treatment have you been offered?
Hey. Thanks so much for your reply. I was beginning to feel like ‘the only one’! LOL! I have had some radiotherapy.
I am happy to chat to you here if you want company. I know I did when I was trying to find fellow net sufferers. I have not had radiotherapy so I can’t help much with that. I have had PRRT and I am on monthly Lanreotide injections to slow the grow of tumours and denosumab to help strengthen my bones. Has Lanreotide been mentioned to you yet?
