Hi, I'm 35 and I got told about 3 months ago I have cancer.
I had been going to the doctors for around a year and a half and got told all sorts before one doctor sent me for an ultrasound.
This was just over 5 months ago now.
I originally got told I had pancreatic cancer, then sarcoma now they think its neuroendocrine.
Did anyone else take a while to get diagnosed?
Ive had so many tests and scans and still awaiting further scans. They have ssidbits growing around 10% every 2 months.
I have no idea what treatment looks like or even if they can treat it and this is worrying me as I dont know if I'll be able to work or do anything! They havent really told me anything and cant start any treatment until I have a diagnosis.
Has else had trouble getting a diagnosis?
Thanks
Helen
Hello Helen (Helen225474bfd )
I am Brian, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community. I have noticed your post has gone unanswered. I can't answer it myself as I have a different cancer, however by me replying your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and replied to by other members of the neuroendocrine group.
I can appreciate this is a worrying time for you - so please do remember our Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week) is there for you.
Best wishes - Brian.
