Neuroendocrine tumour

Hi, I was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in my gallbladder in December 2025. I believed I only had gallstones so it was a huge shock.

I had to have numerous scans, a laparoscopy, surgery and now undergoing adjuvant chemotherapy. Cisplatin and etoposide. Infusion over 8 hours, then tablets twice daily for 2 days at home, every 3 weeks. I have had 3 and 3 to go.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same as me. I've been told cancer has gone, and chemotherapy is an insurance policy.

  • Hello

I am Brian, one of the Community Champions here on the online Community. I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered. I can't answer it myself as I have a different cancer, however by me replying your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and answered by other members of the group.

. I've been told cancer has gone, and chemotherapy is an insurance policy.

I do hope this fact is true - and wish you well with the rest of the Chemotherapy.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi millibob thank you for replying. Yes i have been told the surgery was successful and the chemo therapy is an insurance policy to ensure it stays that way.

I look forward to hearing from anyone in this group who has same as me.

    Take care
