Hi there,
My mother has been recently diagnosed with Myeloma. Her consultant has said chemo will start next week in which she can choose either to have tablet form only which would then not involve hospital visits or tablets and Injection.
Can anyone shed some light on what chemo is more effective.
or any experience,
Thank you for reading
I had exactly the same dilemma a couple of weeks ago when my mum was diagnosed and posted a similar question. I looked at lots of research and we went for the tablets which started 2 weeks ago. Giving a choice makes it so much more difficult doesnt it. The Lenalidomide and dexamethasone tablets appear in the research to have better efficacy for those people that are not suitable for stem cell treatment than the VCD that was the alternative offer, but its such an individual disease theres just no telling. Sending best wishes to you and your mum.
