I would like to put on record how brilliant #latchbrook is at putting our fears at bay. The patience and helpfulness of this brave lady is amazing. Thank you
Thanks to all of you for such kind words. I'm really touched
Many thanks I often read your well thought out replies . I too have melanoma and breast cancer so have seen how supportive you are.
Thanks Alip
I wrongly thought I'd had 'my share' of cancer when I was diagnosed with melanoma 7 years ago, but no I had to have breast cancer as well!
How are you doing?
Mentally not well as both mine were diagnosed within 2 months of each other and the treatment for one seemed to oppose the other. My breast cancer has been excised and sentinel node clear , dermatology didn't want me to have chemo but I had radiotherapy. I didn't have sentinel node for my 1b melanoma so don't know if it's a 3b but I still count myself fortunate and try to be positive. Thankyou for asking me ,this forum has helped and keeps me positive.
I can understand how hard it must be Alip to have to deal with two cancers almost at the same time. At least I had a 6 year gap.
I'm glad to read that treatment for both cancers has been successful and that the online community has helped you to remain positive.
In case you're not aware, Macmillan has teamed up with Bupa to offer up to 6 free counselling sessions for anyone who is affected emotionally by their cancer diagnosis. To read more about this, and to apply if you want to, just click here.
