My husband had a CT scan yesterday on his chest. I had the best nights sleep in ages last night so I should've been suspicious. Today, I get called by a nurse to see if I wanted to come see my husband before visiting hours started as he'd seen the doctor. Like a punch in the stomach, he is being moved to a private room today and all visiting restrictions off as he's been told he won't be here for christmas! Apparently the cancer on his lungs has too far advanced for any kind of treatment . So, when his infection rate drops, I really want to have him at home, pain free, to pass away with his family around him. He's doing all the practical bits like transferring money around and we are going to plan his funeral together. Didn't think we'd have to do this at the age of 49/46!!!
