Had WAE and SNLB clue of days ago, everything went OK. Removed 3 nodes, before surgery surgeon said one looked large and was pathologically suspect. Was under the impression nothing could he determined until they have been to the labs. Haven't stopped worrying since she said that there was no enlarged lymph nodes felt on checks with dermatology

  • Hi

Waiting for results can be a worrying time. What sort of timeframe were you given for the results to be back?

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • 6 weeks, though follow up meeting is scheduled for 9 weeks away.

  • What I found helped me while waiting was to spend à much time as I could doing the things I enjoyed as this helped to keep my mind off the 'what ifs'.

I know it's easier said than done but someone once told me that all the worry in the world won't change the future but it will ruin the present and I try to live by that.

  • Thanks Anne was doing lots of running and pilates, but can't until wounds heal. Though might try some light pilates no arm work.

  • I enjoy walking. Could you substitute that for your running until you heal?
