I had a melanoma on my foot removed nearly 3 years ago followed by a WLE and removal of 2 lymph nodes in my groin, followed by 12 months of immunotherapy.
At my last quarterly scan I was told there was something unexplained in my lung.I then had a full body PET scan and had an appointment with Oncology yesterday.I have been told there is some "activity in a lymph nodea and a nodule in my lung, there isn't anything elsewhere in my body.
They need to do further checks to establish whether it is melanoma or lung cancer, before they agree a treatment plan!.Has anyone had a similar experience?
I have been told that if it is melanoma then I am.likely to have targeted radiotherapy and also Immunotherapy. If anyone can share their experiences I would be really grateful.
I had colitis when I had Immunotherapy last time and I am really worried what would happen this time, but I now need it more than ever!
Hi Wobbles
I'm sorry to see you back here and with the worry of a potential spread to your lung.
I don't have any personal experience with spread to a lung but have found these posts for you to have a look through. There are lots of recent ones so you could reply to any of these if you think the poster can help you further.
Wishing you all the best
