Face to face bad news?

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks for my results after removing a suspected melanoma. I called 1 week ago and was told it was sent to another hospital for a second opinion. Rang again this morning results weren’t back then late this afternoon just received a text with an appointment at the skin clinic tomorrow. Are the likely to call you in so quickly if it wasn’t bad news?
They had originally said I would receive a letter with results so im guessing it doesn’t look great. Has anyone been called in to be told it wasn’t melanoma?

  • I've just been in for biopsy results, benign lesion - I was given the appointment when I had the biopsy (for a date when they thought the results would be in) and was told I'd be seen face to face whatever the results. I think its partly so they can check the excision site. Good luck.

  • That’s the first I’ve heard someone called in for benign results so that’s positive that it can happen. Thank you for the reply
