Hi

Simple outline had 1st removal in May,  just had WLE and node from both armpits removed last Friday.

My question is as I keep myself fit ( run 3or 4 x a week ) and I am following consultants recommendations of keeping the walking to a minimum for a week or 2 and no running for 4 weeks . Does anyone else here know of any issues when returning regarding the lymph nodes etc to exercise.

Many thanks

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm afraid I can't answer your question as the only exercise I do is walking, although I do do a minimum of an hour a day.

My SLNB was also in an armpit but I wasn't advised to keep walking to a minimum for a week or two so still went out for a daily walk, although for no more than an hour and probably every other day.

I think this would be a good question to put to your SCNS and then let us all know what she says for future reference.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
