Hi I was diagnosed with a modular melanoma on 24 th July, since then I’ve had a CT scan and a consultation with a surgeon on the 6th August who said I needed a WLE and a sentinel lymph node biopsy, he said this would be done in four weeks, my question is I’ve still not received a date for this to be done, how long does it take to get an appointment

Thank you.... just couldn’t sit home any longer. Back at work Friday so that should help. Trying to stay positive!

Hi there, I was diagnosed with nodular melanoma too on 5th July following a mole removal. I had wide local excision and lymph node biopsy on 4th August and this Monday (almost 5wks later) got the results from that operation. I initially went to my gp end of May then referred to dermatology so it's been super quick for me. I'm waiting for PET scan now and BRAF test results before next treatment starts hope that's all as quick too. All the best
