Hi,
I have very progressive stage 4 melanoma throughout my body. I had one infusion of immunotherapy in January which unfortunately caused colitis and many hospital admissions. I was on Dab and Tram tablets last summer but reacted very badly to those so my oncologist is tying Encorafenib and Binimetinib. I was just wondering if anyone has used these and how they got on with them. I have huge areas of cancer especially in my spleen and high levels of morphine for the pain, we are hoping these targeted therapy drugs may be able to reduce the areas and buy me some time.? Has anyone got any experiences of using them?
many thanks
Hi
I haven't had this treatment but I've had a look in the group and found that Jacmatholmad wrote about her dad being on this combo in this post. I have tagged her and hope she will come and tell you how her dad is getting on.
I can see that you also posted this in the ask a nurse section and you've had a great reply from Audrey. If you haven't seen it yet clicking here will take you straight there.
I hope that you find you can tolerate this combination better than the previous treatment you were on.
