Hi I recently had the results of my P.E.T. Scan given to me by my consultant .It showed my cancer has shrunk and I will be put on a new regime of 8weekly doses of Rituxamub .Has anyone else had this and how did you get on.
Hi again T Jenko good to hear that your treatment has done a good job.
Many people go on to have Rituximab as this consolidates the good work of your initial treatment.
Rituximab is a targeted therapy, not chemo. I had over 750hrs of Rituximab as part of my main treatment and had no issues with it.
Hi T Jenko
Great news that your cancer has shrunk. I initially had Rituximab along side with my chemo. There was also a chemo treatment for Mantle Cell Lymphoma Called "The Nordic Protocol". Has anyone heard of the this treatment? It was very effective for me. Within the first days chemo a lot of the tumours that made my neck look big had visibly shrink away. I was amazed. And now I've been in remission for 8years and my bloods always seem to come back excellent. And my haematology oncologist has also told me that a lot more people are surviving and the advancement of newer treatments are popping up all the time. Hope this info helps.
