Hi,

I'm a newbie here and just been diagnosed with lung cancer. I am so scared I don't know what to expect my husband is not dealing with it and I feel sick to my stomach Nauseated face

  • Hi' Lizzie' Pleas try to relax. I know your thinking easier said than done. I had surgery last October for one in my right lung. My surgeon said he got it all out. I'm feeling fine now and more or less back to my normal self. There's no reason why you shouldn't be the same. Believe me it isn't the end.

My lung surgery is following bowel surgery in 03 to remove an 80mm one. It's a bit like learning to drive, we all have started some where. It's not a club we want to be a member of but here we are. You are not alone you are among friends on here.

Just go along with it and take the treatment whatever. I was offered Chemo' or surgery. I went for surgery, in my opinion they cut it out and now it's gone, but that's just my opinion.

As I said try to relax and take what comes.

Just like many others on here I am honestly feeling fine now. Don't worry you'll get through it

  • Hi Jagman,

Your message has given me hope thank you l really appreciated it. I think once l have all the info hopefully l will be able to relax a little.

  • Hi there … I know exactly how you feel, as I had surgery to remove a nodule on right upper lung and a slice of middle lobe of right lung, along with lymph nodes . I had the surgery on 27th Jan and am recovering well .. I am now awaiting follow up with consultant .. It’s agonising waiting for scan results and stuff . Have they staged you ?? I feel your pain I really do xx

  • Hi,

No stage at the moment! Still at the start of this journey. I need to learn patience.
