My father has just been diagnosed with lung cancer and mediastinal and right Hilar lymphadenopathy. It was only by chance it was found( he had fallen and was scanned) He has severe COPD and heart failure so any treatments are not an option, it will be symptom management and eventually palliative care. I just don’t know what to do!! I’m confused, angry, devastated. Want to be with parents but cannot afford time off.
Hi Nicnac1974 I am sorry to hear about your dad. It is very common for lung cancer to be diagnosed during scans for other reasons like falls, especially as COPD can mimic common lung cancer symptoms.
It is such an upsetting time for you, and I can understand you wanting to be there for your parents. I know how frustrating this is for you.
