I am hard off hearing and feel cut off from any support. So I'm so relieved to be able to connect to other cancer patients by using email. Phone is a no no for me.

From leading a very active life...hill/mountain walking with my dog. Also attending up to 7 fitness classes a week, I am really struggling to adjust to life as it is now.

I have completed 4 chemos and I have two to more to go. It's been scary experience which has been made worse by not being able to compare or share my experience with other lung cancer patients.

My cancer is incurable but treatable and I am 77 years old.Would love to hear from someone who is on the same journey.

Best wishes

JudyJ

  • Hello I also have incurable lung cancer and am on treatment. I am under Christie's in Manchester. I have never smoked. I am not on chemo but on pills as mine is a rare cancer. I am on the journey with you. Big hugs xxx

  • Thank you Tracy. I’m struggling to stay positive but I have a lovely family and good friends. Also I gave a good relationship with my oncologist. I have my MRI scan on Thursday. I think it’s worrying me more than let on. Glad you didn’t need any treatment.Take care Judy

  • Hi. I gave up smoking 42 years ago. I have a rare cancer too and is incurable. I’m having treatment at the Wrexham Maelor. They did mention tablets but have given me 4 chemos so far. I have two more shorter time ones in February and March. I struggle to walk my dog after the treatment but feel I must be strong and carry on.
I’m trying to be strong but it’s so hard. From being so busy and active to finding everything a struggle, even to breathe sometimes. Hopefully I’ll know more after my MRI scan and a talk with my oncologist next week.

it’s so good to be in touch with you. xx
