Hi all, well the last few months have been a bit of a whirlwind. Had a suspected TIA in March and while going through tests to find out why, a 21mm lung nodule was discovered on my upper left lung. A complete surprise as I have no symptoms. I had 2 CT scans and then a PET scan. The PET scan showed some uptake from the nodule but clear elsewhere. The plan is now not to wait for a biopsy but to go straight for the lobectomy using robotic keyhole surgery and remove 1/4 of the lung. The consultant calculated the risk of it being cancer at 90%. Unfortunately I have to wait for availability of the surgeon and have 6 months clear after the TIA, so looks like September. Still doesn’t feel real as I feel fine.
