Hi,
I posted here around 2 weeks ago that I had some symptoms like pain in the fingers and hand and a bit of breathing problems and I think I have a bit of wheezing when lying.
I visited a lung specialist doc and he sended me to x-ray which was clear. And lung function test was also fine.
Since I had still the symptoms he sended me to get a CT (without contrast because I am allergic to it) and after one more week I got the results from him and also from the radiologist that my thorax CT was fine.
Since I still have this symptoms, should I trust both doctors since they told me my CT was fine?
I was worrying about sclc because of my neoplastical symptoms and the breathing and they told me the CT does not show anything suspicious.
Or should I try to get another explanation for my symptoms?
Please do not take this the wrong way, but every single person in this group with lung cancer, would love to have one doctor tell them their CT did not show cancer, let alone 2! You need to believe what you are told, and go and enjoy your life cancer free. You are very lucky not to have this disease!
Many thanks for your answer!!
I did not expect a good CT since my symptoms are so bad. That's what makes me worry. I do not think it is my anxiety.
Can a lung cancer get that worse that fast with symptoms, without being visible on a CT (without contrast)?
My chest pain on my right side is getting worse and now I have a bit of back pain on my right side. And this only in 2 days.
And I have a wheeze when I am breathing while lying in bed. My fingers pain is still bad. And I have a bit of nausea.
Could this all be early neoplastical symptoms of sclc?
Could a small sclc make such vast symptoms already?
No idea what to do now since it is Christmas and everything more or less closed and most docs on holidays.
Many Sorry for asking again.
Anyone know if it makes sense to make a lung bronchoscopy or a what else I can do.
I have the bad feeling and am convinced I have sclc since my symptoms are mostly paraneoplastic and also my breathing is not good, right chest pain and I have nausea (which happens when sclc makes sodium levels too low).
I read that sclc is very aggressive and spreads very fast.
So I am now worried what to do next?
You do not have SCLC your scan and 2 doctors have confirmed this. A bronchoscopy is used to remove a sample for a biopsy. You have no tumour to biopsy.
You can speak to your doctor about the symptoms you feel that you have, but please stop worrying about a disease you do not have.
Please take notice of what chellesimo has said.
As someone who has experienced GENUINE SCLC I regret to say I find your posts offensive. In part I am to blame as I posted in reply to someone else's genuine paraneoplastic symptoms with SCLC. You read that post, and , low and behold, you suddenly have symptoms of paraneoplastic syndrome for SCLC.
You do not have SCLC nor any other Lung Cancer. Please have respect for those that do and stop posting on here.

Many many excuses from my side to have been upsetting anyone here!!!
This was never my intention!
My only intention was trying to find out what is wrong with me with this many (some very strange) symptoms I have first time in life and before I read anything on the internet, and still have them, even getting worse.
Again, very very much sorry for upsetting anyone and I stop posting!
