I have lung cancer and it is caused by a mutant gene. The medication I'm on has now affected my liver so I am off it for a week and having a CT scan next week and another blood test. I see the consultant five days after. I can't say I feel happy as it was going so well. The consultant feels it should recover if I have a rest from the tablets and should be able to go on a lower dose. I hope so. I hope everyone is staying positive and doing well
Hi Susywoo,
I've also had to have a treatment pause due to liver toxicity. It's quite common apparently. Especially with immunotherapy.
They soon got it under control wirh steroids and the treatment was able to resume.
I tell myself that if its attacking the good things then it must also be attacking the bad things. It's one way of looking at it! Xx
