Im sorry you find yourself here but glad you are. Having had the same experience time does help- not least in having a treatmen plan. Had this been discussed yet? Do let us know how you get on

  • Hi Peatree, I believe you need more information, this is not enough to go on, the questions that needs asking why is this inoperable, of what stage is the Cancer, as inoperable can mean many things.

I must admit no one explained to me why my Lung  Cancer was inoperable,  I recently asked the Oncologist and  he said it was purely because of the Covid epidemic, I was diagnosed in March 2020 so I can understand that.

All the best, try to get informed.

Treatment plan has not been discussed because the results of the biopsy are not known yet. It is really nice to be able to talk to you. Thank you so much.

I have been told that it is advanced. It is inoperable because it is not contained within the lungs. They are waiting for the results of the biopsy to look at treatment plans.

  • I Peatree, yes until they have a fuller picture, if either secondary or a primary, that's probably why you are in the dark.

It is not fun this road with cancer, made me think a lot over the last year or so.

Mine is not progressing at present though as my last chest X-ray showed, but still X-rays are not very clear, have to wait another 3 months til a CT scan.

I think when you are informed it is easier, no matter what, worst place is not. knowing, I wish you all the best on your results.

  • Hiya peatree I was the same as you and it hits you hard at first, and affects all in your family and friends. This doesn't mean the end as there are many Treatments which can help.  Stay positive easy to say but it helps. Rob
