It's in my lymph nodes so they say surgery isn't an option. So is that a long slow death sentence?
Hi Glenys sorry to hear that you cannot have surgery because of the lymph nodes. This is quite common unfortunately, and it just means there will be a different treatment approach. Lots of treatments now available for lung cancer, it certainly isn’t the death sentence it was a few years ago.
My husband also has secondaries in both lymph glands and bones. We have decided to focus on Living every day rather than dying everyday. We’ve planned an achievable bucket list and are trying to work our way through. Our Oncologist said between Chemo travel so I’m looking into travel insurance and hopefully get a nice holiday in. We are lucky we live in West Wales and there’s so much to see and do in the area. We’re not short of nice day trips on our doorstep.

Cathe have you looked at the Travel insurance forum for cancer patients for insurance recommendations and advice.
Sadly I can’t get an offer any quotes because diagnosis was 12 weeks ago and he hasn’t had treatment. Thanks for the info though.
